Agriculture is a staple of Eastern Shore life and by exposing students to the industry early on they are able to gain a better understanding of the importance and benefit to a career in agriculture!
ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Exploring Entrepreneurship in Agriculture
Junior Achievement's Agriculture Day is designed to educate students on the value of the agriculture industry by changing the perception of agriculture and educating students early on about career opportunities. After participating in Junior Achievement's Our Region program in the classroom, 4th grade students discover a variety of opportunities in the agriculture industry through hands-on learning activities at Ag Day. The event features local vendors in the region and allows students to interact with these industry leaders to learn how these businesses benefit them as consumers and what education and skill level is needed to succeed in each field. By exposing students to the industry at an early, age, they begin to understand the importance and benefits of a career in agriculture. Students can go through their schooling taking the necessary classes and learning vital skills to prepare them for a career in farming, manufacturing, cultivation, and more!
