JA BIZTOWN SUMMER CAMP

Welcome to JA Biztown Summer Camp! Get ready for a week of hands-on fun as we turn our most popular program, JA Biztown, into a week long immersive learning camp in our JA City. Campers will operate banks, manage restaurants, write checks, and vote as this camp is designed to connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world! 

JAES Summer Camp

JA Biztown Summer Camp introduces campers to our JA Biztown program allowing campers week-long access to our one-of-a-kind JA City Center with daily activities and challenges designed to engage campers in this immersive learning experience. This camp is intended for rising 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and explores career paths, strengthens financial literacy skills, and encourages an entrepreneurial mindset as campers navigate working in JA Biztown.

CAMP HIGHLIGHTS 

Learn key economic concepts and work readiness skills that prepare campers for life outside of JA Biztown 

Engage in career exploration and discover the skills needed for various career paths 

Interact with and hear from local entreprenurs and business partners  

Run JA Biztown by working in a business, earning paychecks, and spending your money to stimulate economic growth

THE EXPERIENCE

Students will enter our immersive JA City Center to engage in a week-long simulated experience that expands upon our popular JA Biztown program. JA Biztown is designed to engage students in career exploration as campers will navigate through working in Biztown and learn about the different careers that keep Biztown operational. JA staff and volunteers will work directly with campers as they navigate through their job position, the work day, and ultimately create their own sales pitch.

Then I was introduced to the Perdue Henson JA Center and I was amazed! Not only is the facility itself absolutely beautiful, the programs they provide are so beneficial to introduce our students to financial literacy, work and career readiness as well as entrepreneurship. From the first time I volunteered, I was hooked on JAES and will forever be a supporter!"

THE PERDUE HENSON JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT CENTER

A SPACE BUILT FOR SUCCESS

Located in Salisbury, Maryland, the Perdue Henson Junior Achievement Center is an immersive learning center used for student programming, educational simulations, and available for rentals year-round. Our center is a multi-functional property, built with the intention of our student's success in mind, this one of a kind facility offers a space where both kids and adults can learn and grow.
